Data we collect

Contact form submissions typically include name, email address, selected consultation type, and the message you write (for example degree background or interview dates). If you book a session we may also process scheduling details, documents you voluntarily share for review (Lebenslauf, Anschreiben), invoices, and correspondence. Server logs may include IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and troubleshooting.

Purposes and legal bases

We process data to respond to enquiries, deliver counselling, issue invoices, meet legal record-keeping duties, and—only with consent—measure aggregated site usage via analytics cookies. Legal bases include Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract or pre-contract steps), Art. 6(1)(c) (legal obligations), Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests in securing the site), and Art. 6(1)(a) (consent for non-essential cookies).

Retention

Enquiry messages without a booking are usually deleted or anonymised within 24 months. Client files related to counselling are retained as long as needed for the engagement and applicable commercial or tax retention periods in Germany, then deleted or archived with restricted access. Cookie consent choices stored in your browser remain until you clear local storage or change preference.

Recipients and international transfers

Hosting and email providers may process data on our behalf under contracts. If a provider stores data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

Under GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection where applicable, and you may withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing.
